On May 6th, the Florida Bar's Continuing Legal Education Committee and the Appellate Practice
Section are hosting an in-person, full-day course titled "Beyond the Bar: The Supreme Court of Florida." The event is comprised of observations, presentations, and panels focused on all aspects of practice before the Supreme Court of Florida. The sessions will count towards CLE credits.
Gunster's Lauren Purdy will be hosting a presentation on jurisdiction from the clerk's perspective alongside Akerman's Kristen Fiore.

Lauren Purdy serves as Gunster’s Jacksonville Office Managing Shareholder and co-chair of the firm’s Appellate practice. She advises local, national, and multinational clients in a wide array of business disputes in both state and federal courts. Lauren’s practice is focused on complex commercial litigation, transportation, and professional liability matters at both the trial and appellate court levels. She also serves as one of the firm’s Loss Prevention Partners, where she assists the firm’s general counsel with internal loss prevention issues. Lauren previously served as vice chair of Gunster’s Business Litigation Practice Group. As a trial lawyer who also maintains a substantial appellate practice, Lauren is personally dedicated to bringing a unique and well-rounded perspective to litigation strategy and courtroom advocacy.
