Gunster shareholder Jack Rice was recently featured in The Palm Beach Post for representing U.S. Ambassador to Belgium Bill White and his husband, Bryan Eure, in a historic preservation matter involving plans to renovate and expand their home in West Palm Beach's historic El Cid neighborhood. On behalf of White and Eure, Rice successfully appealed to the West Palm Beach City Commission, which voted unanimously on Sept. 14 to overrule the Historic Preservation Board and waive three requirements tied to the planned second-story addition.
Jack Rice is a shareholder in Gunster’s West Palm Beach office whose practice focuses on real estate and development, including helping clients secure land use and zoning approvals and navigate local government and regulatory processes. He draws on experience as a planner, government counsel, and litigator to guide projects from concept through approval, construction, and, when necessary, appeals and litigation. His experience also includes work on historic residences, as well as prior service as assistant general counsel to six local governments in Palm Beach County.
