While dealmaking has cooled across much of the country due to difficult access to capital and elevated interest rates, the Southeast, and Northeast Florida in particular, continues to experience steady consolidation activity driven by a growing population, a deep concentration of healthcare providers, and significant buyer interest in the healthcare and related technology industries.

"The consolidation wave is not just coming, it is already here, and it is accelerating," wrote Prokop. "The leaders who will come out ahead are those who treat a potential transaction not as a distant event, but as a strategic initiative deserving the same rigor and planning as any other critical business decision".
