Gunster is proud to announce that attorneys Jounice Nealy-Brown and Greg Pierson were appointed to serve on the Florida Bar’s Grievance Committees in the Thirteenth Circuit with Jounice is serving on Committee “B” and Greg serving on Committee “D.”
Grievance Committees are in place to investigate possible lawyer misconduct while trying a case. Made up of lawyers and nonlawyers, cases are submitted to the committees by bar counsel. If there is reasonable belief a lawyer violated the professional conduct rules imposed by the Supreme Court of Florida, the respective committee can decide whether discipline against the lawyer is warranted.
Jounice Nealy-Brown is a member of the Labor and Employment Law and Business Litigation practice groups, and advises clients in litigation matters, including employment discrimination and probate issues. She joined Gunster after serving as a federal judicial law clerk for The Honorable Anthony E. Porcelli and The Honorable Mary S. Scriven, both of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division.
Greg Pierson practices in Gunster’s Business Litigation and Labor and Employment Law groups. Greg brings valuable insight from two federal clerkships to the firm. Before joining Gunster, he worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Charlene E. Honeywell of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He also clerked previously for the Honorable Elizabeth A. Kovachevich, former Chief Judge of the Middle District of Florida. He has held numerous roles with the Tampa Bay Charter of the Federal Bar Association.
