Gunster shareholder Kevin Kenny was recently featured in a cover story titled, "Country Clubs Gear Up for Their Millennial Moment" published by both the Jacksonville Business Journal and the South Florida Business Journal. Kenny, who specializes in private clubs and hospitality, offered his perspective on the current state of the club industry and the challenges operators face as millennials enter their prime joining age.

Clubs are being met with competition against other discretionary lifestyle activities. Kenny emphasized that operators must continue to invest thoughtfully to remain competitive, noting that "the competition gets fierce, and in order to compete for the dollar today, as well as down the road, there is a lot of emphasis on making sure the experience is welcoming [and] inviting, but also financially, it's a good proposition."
