The Florida Council of 100, chaired by Gunster's George S. LeMieux, has published results from Q4 of the CEO Economic Outlook Index, which tracks executive expectations for sales, capital spending, and employment in Florida across the next six months.
The latest research shows that the Index climbed by 9 points to 100 from Q3, outperforming the national BRT index reading of 80, and reinforcing the view that Florida’s fundamentals continue to outpace national sentiment. The findings underscore growing optimism among Florida business leaders and highlights continued strength across core indicators of private-sector activity.
“Florida CEOs are sending a clear signal that they expect continued job growth and economic expansion,” said LeMieux. “This quarter’s results reflect confidence in Florida’s workforce, business climate, and long-term growth prospects.”
As we forge ahead to 2026, Gunster looks forward to continuing to partner with Florida’s business community to advance growth, innovation, and opportunity statewide.
