Overview
Daniel advises clients in all areas of personal and business tax planning. He works with individuals and businesses to develop tax-efficient structures that align with their professional, personal, and business objectives.
Daniel assists clients with federal income tax, corporate tax, partnership tax, and state tax matters. He counsels closely held businesses, entrepreneurs, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals on complex business transactions, joint-venture structuring, and corporate restructurings. Daniel also advises real estate developers and investment fund sponsors on tax and corporate matters, including the formation and structuring of management and fund entities.
Daniel works with business owners on succession planning and pre-transaction planning in contemplation of sales and recapitalizations, including the structuring and implementation of buy-sell arrangements. He also helps clients understand the tax ramifications of complex transactions and available options to minimize or defer taxes.
In addition to his transactional tax practice, Daniel advises tax-exempt organizations and assists clients with charitable planning. He also counsels clients on wealth transfer matters, including estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning.
Daniel attended the University of Florida Levin College of Law on a full-tuition scholarship, where he earned his J.D., with honors, and his LL.M. in Taxation. During law school, he served as an Articles Editor for the Florida Law Review. Prior to law school, Daniel graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Statistics, following which he worked as a financial analyst for two of the nation's largest homebuilding companies.
