Overview
Jordan H. Blumenthal is an attorney in Gunster’s Real Property group, where he advises clients on land use and zoning matters. He draws on more than a decade of legal experience, including as an attorney at the White House and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, to help clients navigate regulatory frameworks and achieve their real estate objectives.
Before joining Gunster, Jordan served in several legal roles in the federal government. As Senior Deputy Associate Counsel in the White House Office of Presidential Personnel, he vetted candidates for presidential appointments and nominations for Senate-confirmed positions. Before that, Jordan was Senior Counsel for Oversight in the Office of General Counsel at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, where he devised legal strategies in response to external investigations. In these roles, Jordan assessed legal, political, and reputational risk. He was also Deputy Chief Oversight and Policy Counsel for the House Oversight Committee, where he led high-profile investigations. Jordan began his career on Capitol Hill as counsel to a Member of Congress representing Palm Beach County.
Jordan brings private practice and litigation experience, having served as an Associate at a law firm and as an Assistant State Attorney for the 15th Judicial Circuit covering Palm Beach County. His background in South Florida political campaigns, including as a campaign manager for a successful State Senate race in Palm Beach County, gives him practical insight into the political landscape.
Jordan earned his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. He also received a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, and a Masters of Applied American Politics and Policy from Florida State University.
