Gunster Attorney Lonny Held

Overview

Lawrence “Lonny” Held focuses his practice on representing beneficiaries and fiduciaries in probate, guardianship, and trust litigation. He has handled a wide range of matters in these areas, including will contests involving undue influence and lack of capacity, trust and probate disputes including breach of fiduciary duty cases, incapacity proceedings in contested guardianships, and professional malpractice. Lonny regularly appears before state and federal courts and maintains an active appellate practice.

As a civil and probate litigator, he has successfully represented clients in bringing and defending against incapacity claims, undue influence actions, and removal proceedings in highly contested guardianship, trust, and estate cases. He previously served as court-appointed counsel for alleged incapacitated persons in Hillsborough County, and understands the difficulties faced by families when a loved one is suffering from diminished capacity.
