Mark Fereg

Overview

Mark Fereg focuses his practice on representing employers facing legal challenges in the workplace. Since entering private practice, he has represented clients in management-side labor and employment matters, including administrative investigations and hearings, arbitration, and litigation involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour issues, restrictive covenants, employee leave, labor charges, union activity, and related workplace disputes. Drawing on his experience in labor relations and disputes involving government agencies, Mark represents federal contractors in debarment proceedings before the U.S. Department of Labor and advises clients on a wide range of day-to-day employment and labor issues, including strategy, risk management, policy review, workplace investigations, and planning.

Prior to joining Gunster, Mark was an associate and counsel-level attorney at a national labor and employment firm, where he focused on representing and counseling employers in all aspects of employment matters. He also has experience with fair housing claims, community association law, and commercial disputes.

Mark began his legal career as a judicial law clerk to the Tenth Judicial Circuit Court of Alabama. While in law school, he was a Pupil of the Judge James Edwin Horton Inn of Court and was a collegiate athlete during his undergraduate studies.
