Ryan Opitz

Overview

Ryan received his received his Juris Doctor, with honors, from Stetson University College of Law in 2025. A lifelong resident of Sarasota-Manatee County, he is committed to improving, staying engaged in, and giving back to the local community.

Ryan’s professional experience includes interning with the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Office of the Florida State Attorney from 2020 to 2022, with the legal counsel of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in 2024. He interned with Icard Merrill in 2024 and subsequently joined the firm prior to its integration with Gunster. His academic experience includes studying abroad with Stetson’s Comparative Trial Advocacy program in Oxford, England.

Ryan’s practice focuses on estate planning, administration, business representation, and litigated matters related to estates, trusts, and guardianships.
