Overview
Sobeida Peralta navigates clients through the intricacies of eDiscovery. Leveraging her experience as a litigator at two global law firms and as a paralegal earlier in her career, Sobeida develops and implements defensible and efficient eDiscovery strategies for complex commercial disputes and regulatory matters for clients across various industries.
Sobeida’s experience ranges from drafting discovery requests and responses to streamlining workflows, managing risk, and aligning discovery tactics with litigation strategies. Taking a holistic approach to enhance her eDiscovery practice, Sobeida considers her client’s business and legal needs while collaborating and coordinating with national and local trial teams. Sobeida evaluates, analyzes, tracks and utilizes electronically stored information (ESI) to help litigation teams build their cases from the initial stages until resolution. Clients also rely on her for proactive guidance on eDiscovery best practices so they can be well-prepared should litigation arise at any point.
Before joining Gunster, Sobeida honed her litigation skills at both Greenberg Traurig and Kirkland & Ellis, where she represented clients in complex commercial disputes and products liability matters. Sobeida started her legal career at Sidley, where she worked as a products liability paralegal. Sobeida’s diverse background and experience as a litigator, eDiscovery lawyer and paralegal help her anticipate legal and procedural challenges at every stage of a case and enhance her ability to overcome hurdles and craft creative solutions.
Fluent in English and a native Spanish speaker, she is also conversant in Italian.
