With two decades of experience shaping Florida's environmental, agricultural, and water resource policy through executive leadership, legal counsel, and legislative service, West helps clients navigate the state's complex environmental and water regulatory landscape with a practical, solutions-driven approach shaped by service inside state agencies. He works with agricultural operations, utilities, landowners, and businesses whose success depends on understanding and complying with Florida's evolving water policy, permitting frameworks, and environmental standards.
West's background includes serving as Deputy General Counsel at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, giving him deep insight into agency processes, administrative litigation, and rulemaking strategy. He also led the Office of Agricultural Water Policy, where he understands how regulatory decisions are made and how to position clients for successful outcomes.
West earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida.
