Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, today announced that Alexandra Chase has joined the firm as Of Counsel in its West Palm Beach office, further expanding the firm’s business litigation and white collar defense capabilities.
Chase brings more than 16 years of courtroom and investigative experience handling complex, high-stakes federal prosecutions and white-collar matters and representing clients in complex business disputes, white collar defense matters, and internal investigations.
Most recently, she served in senior leadership roles within the U.S. Attorney’s Office, including chief of financial crimes and acting managing U.S. attorney. In those roles, she supervised prosecutors, reviewed and approved charging decisions and guided large-scale investigations, while continuing to serve as a lead trial attorney in high-exposure cases involving healthcare fraud, financial crimes and other federal offenses.
At Gunster, she will work closely with Jonathan Osborne and other members of the firm’s business litigation team to support clients facing sophisticated disputes, government investigations, and regulatory scrutiny.
“Alexandra’s leadership experience and deep understanding of how complex investigations are built and prosecuted from the government’s perspective will provide tremendous value to our clients,” said Jonathan Osborne, chair of Gunster’s White Collar Defense & Internal Investigations practice. “Her addition reflects Gunster’s continued investment in expanding our business litigation practice and strengthening our ability to guide clients through high-stakes disputes and enforcement matters.”
Earlier in her career, Chase prosecuted major drug trafficking and money laundering organizations under the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) program in the Eastern District of Tennessee and clerked for the Honorable Thomas W. Phillips.
Experienced at every stage of litigation, Chase has drafted and argued dispositive motions, handled trials and appeals, presented evidence before grand juries and negotiated complex resolutions. She approaches disputes with an investigator’s precision and a trial lawyer’s discipline, helping clients anticipate risk, navigate complicated fact patterns and resolve matters efficiently, whether through motion practice, negotiation or trial.
